Tree lighting in Conroe, Texas.
Why Conroe is a tree-lighting town
Conroe sits on the edge of the East Texas piney woods, and about 5,000 acres of Lake Conroe, a man-made reservoir, lie within Sam Houston National Forest. Many properties here keep their original trees, so the tree line is often the most striking feature on the lot. A house in an open field has nothing to frame it. A house under pines already does.
That changes what a good display looks like. Rather than covering every branch, the best plans in a wooded setting use a handful of wraps to define the entrance, the drive and the edge of the lawn, and leave the dark between them as part of the design.
Pines: the straight-trunk case
Pines are the easiest trees to wrap well, because their trunks are straight and clear for much of their height. A trunk wrap on a mature pine gives you a tall, even column of light that lifts the eye above the roofline without any work on the roof itself.
Pines also drop needles and cones, and shed lower limbs as they grow. We wrap the trunk and stay clear of branches that may drop, and we check the wrap when we reinstall each season so that it matches the tree as it is.
Oaks and the wider canopy
Oaks, which are common in established neighborhoods across the region, are broader and lower-branching than pines. A wrapped trunk plus the first two or three limbs shows the shape of the tree at night. Going further up the canopy costs more strands and, on a very large tree, usually adds little.
Our tree wrapping guide explains the trunk, branch and canopy styles in detail.
Lake Conroe lots and long approaches
Waterfront and wooded lots often have a long drive through trees. Wrapping the trunks along that approach turns the drive into a sequence that builds toward the house. Because the trees stand apart from the building, the effect is visible from the road even when the house itself is screened by woodland.
Larger properties are scoped on site, because access, long runs and large trees change the plan, and full-property displays start at $3,000.
Timing and what to prepare
Book in September or October if you want a choice of dates, since the week before Thanksgiving, November 26 this year, is the most requested. Trees need no preparation from you: keep the base clear, tell us about gates or pets, and let us know if a limb is due to come down before the season.
We confirm install and takedown dates with you in advance, and you do not need to be home. If a storm disturbs a wrap, in-season maintenance is free and requests are answered within 24 hours, seven days a week.
What tree wraps cost
Tree wraps are $37 to $42 per strand. A small trunk wrap may take one or two strands and a large tree wrapped into its branches takes more, so the price follows the amount of light, not a flat fee per tree. You can set the number of strands in the cost estimator.
Every price includes custom-cut commercial-grade LED lighting, installation, free in-season maintenance, removal and off-season storage.

Conroe questions
Tree Lighting in Conroe: what people ask.
It should not. Lights are wound at an even tension with room for the trunk to expand, we avoid cutting into bark, and the wraps come off at the end of the season instead of staying on for years.
Yes, within the reach of the access equipment on site. We wrap the clear trunk and the sturdy lower limbs rather than trying to cover the whole crown, which is what reads best from the street.
Tell us, and the plan is updated before the reinstall. Because we store and reinstall your set, we can cut a replacement run for a different tree.
They do. Wraps move with the trunk, and we leave enough slack for that movement. If a section is disturbed by a storm, call us: in-season maintenance is free and requests are answered within 24 hours.
