The product
Not box-store strands. A lighting system built for your house.
One continuous run
The strand is cut to the shape.
That is the entire idea, and it is the same whether the shape is a roofline or the surface of a sphere. A run is measured, cut to length, and fitted so the spacing stays even and the line never breaks.
- Rooflines measured before any material is ordered
- Each plane of the roof cut to its own length
- Spacing set so corners, dormers and offsets still read as one line
- Wire runs planned, so nothing dangles below the drip edge
- Every set stored by us, so next season it fits again
What the system is made of
Six decisions, made before anyone climbs a ladder.
All of them are included in the one price you are quoted, and none of them are optional extras.
Measured, plane by plane
Fascia, gable rake, ridge, hip, dormer and soffit are each measured and treated separately, because each one reads differently at night.
Commercial-grade, custom cut
Professional, weather-rated LED cut to your property. This is not product you can buy at a hardware or big-box store.
Installed insured
Insured crews working to current safety practice, using access equipment chosen for the height and for the protection of your landscaping.
Timer included
Configured as part of the installation, so the display switches on and off when you want it without you thinking about it.
Serviced free, all season
In-season maintenance is included. Bulbs, strands, clips and connections are our responsibility until the lights come down.
Removed and stored
Takedown on your schedule, then labelled, packed and stored by us at no extra charge until next season.
Why retail strands fail
Four things give a cheap install away.
You can spot them from the street in the dark, and they are all caused by the same problem: the strand was made to a length, not to your house.
- The sag — a strand hung between widely spaced attachment points that dips below the roofline.
- The coil — the leftover length of a fixed-size strand looped over a gutter or bundled at a corner.
- The gap — two strands meeting with a plug between them, leaving a dark notch in a continuous line.
- The cross-over — a run cutting across a gable vent, a window head or a downlight.

Side by side
Retail strands against a custom-cut system.
The same house, two very different products. This is the honest comparison, line by line.

System questions
The questions that matter about the product.
Our published packages start at $799 for a front roofline. Roofline is $6, $8 or $10 per linear foot by height, ground lighting is $5 per foot, and tree wraps run $37 to $42 per strand. Windows, doors and garage doors are $5 per foot, wreaths run $350 to $650 by size, and a 9-foot garland is $395. Every figure includes custom-cut commercial-grade LED, installation, in-season maintenance, removal and storage. Use the Design & Price My Lights estimator for a range on your own house; final pricing is confirmed after we verify the property.
It depends on the property, which is why we quote it rather than publish a flat rate. The company's published packages start at $799 for a front roofline. Roofline plus ridge cap on a typical single-family home usually falls between $800 and $1,500. Adding landscaping, tree wraps and walkways typically lands between $1,500 and $3,000. Full-property and multi-structure displays start at $3,000. Every one of those figures is all-inclusive: design, custom-cut commercial-grade LED lighting, installation, in-season maintenance, removal and off-season storage.
Four things. The amount of roofline and how many separate planes it has, because a house with nine gables takes far more custom-cut strand than a simple hip roof. The height and access, since a two-storey gable needs different equipment than a single-storey fascia. What else on the property is being lit — trees, hedges, walkways and driveway edges each add material and labour. And the product: commercial-grade, weather-rated LED costs more than a retail strand and is the reason your display still looks the same in week six as it did in week one.
The lights stay with us. Your quote covers the design, the custom-cut set made for your property, the installation, the in-season maintenance, the removal and the off-season storage. You are not buying a box of strands to store in your garage — you are buying a finished display on your house, kept working, then taken down and kept safe until next season. Because we hold the set, it is cut to your property, and it comes back the following year already fitted to your rooflines.
Yes. Holiday Lights Texas quotes the season as one all-inclusive price. Installation, in-season maintenance, removal and off-season storage are all covered by that figure. There is no separate January invoice for taking the lights down, and no storage charge. That is the single biggest difference between us and hiring someone to hang retail strands.
Yes — $50 off your first installation. You can claim it on the coupons page, or simply mention it when you request your quote and we will attach it to your file before you approve anything. The current offer cannot be combined with another Holiday Lights Texas credit or promotion.
Within 24 hours, and usually the same business day. Many estimates can be given over the phone once we understand your property. If we need to see it in person, we will arrange a time that suits you rather than asking you to wait for a callback.
It means the strand is measured against your house and cut to length before it goes up. Your rooflines are measured, the runs are cut to match, the spacing is set so bulbs are evenly distributed, the wire is managed so nothing dangles below the drip edge, and the connections are planned rather than improvised. That is why there is no excess coil of wire looped over a gutter and no dark gap where two retail strands should have met.
