Cost & Quotes
14Our published packages start at $799 for a front roofline. Roofline is $6, $8 or $10 per linear foot by height, ground lighting is $5 per foot, and tree wraps run $37 to $42 per strand. Windows, doors and garage doors are $5 per foot, wreaths run $350 to $650 by size, and a 9-foot garland is $395. Every figure includes custom-cut commercial-grade LED, installation, in-season maintenance, removal and storage. Use the Design & Price My Lights estimator for a range on your own house; final pricing is confirmed after we verify the property.
It depends on the property, which is why we quote it rather than publish a flat rate. The company's published packages start at $799 for a front roofline. Roofline plus ridge cap on a typical single-family home usually falls between $800 and $1,500. Adding landscaping, tree wraps and walkways typically lands between $1,500 and $3,000. Full-property and multi-structure displays start at $3,000. Every one of those figures is all-inclusive: design, custom-cut commercial-grade LED lighting, installation, in-season maintenance, removal and off-season storage.
Four things. The amount of roofline and how many separate planes it has, because a house with nine gables takes far more custom-cut strand than a simple hip roof. The height and access, since a two-storey gable needs different equipment than a single-storey fascia. What else on the property is being lit — trees, hedges, walkways and driveway edges each add material and labour. And the product: commercial-grade, weather-rated LED costs more than a retail strand and is the reason your display still looks the same in week six as it did in week one.
The lights stay with us. Your quote covers the design, the custom-cut set made for your property, the installation, the in-season maintenance, the removal and the off-season storage. You are not buying a box of strands to store in your garage — you are buying a finished display on your house, kept working, then taken down and kept safe until next season. Because we hold the set, it is cut to your property, and it comes back the following year already fitted to your rooflines.
Yes. Holiday Lights Texas quotes the season as one all-inclusive price. Installation, in-season maintenance, removal and off-season storage are all covered by that figure. There is no separate January invoice for taking the lights down, and no storage charge. That is the single biggest difference between us and hiring someone to hang retail strands.
Yes — $50 off your first installation. You can claim it on the coupons page, or simply mention it when you request your quote and we will attach it to your file before you approve anything. The current offer cannot be combined with another Holiday Lights Texas credit or promotion.
Within 24 hours, and usually the same business day. Many estimates can be given over the phone once we understand your property. If we need to see it in person, we will arrange a time that suits you rather than asking you to wait for a callback.
The smallest package is $799, for a front roofline. It includes custom-cut commercial-grade LED lighting, installation, a configured timer, in-season maintenance, removal and off-season storage, the same as every larger package.
Second-level roofline is $8 per linear foot, against $6 per foot at the first level and $10 per foot for third-level rooflines and peaks. The rate rises with height because the work needs different access equipment and more time on the roof.
Tree wraps are priced by the strand at $37 to $42 per strand. A small trunk wrap may take one or two strands, while a large tree wrapped into its branches takes more, so the price follows the amount of light used rather than a flat fee per tree.
Ground lighting, such as walkway edges, driveway edges and beds, is $5 per linear foot.
Yes. New customers receive $50 off their first installation, code NEW50, on offer until 2026-12-15. Mention it when you request your quote and we will attach it to your file before you approve anything. It cannot be combined with another credit or promotion.
Payment terms are set out in your written quote. We have not published a deposit or payment-schedule policy on the website, so please ask when you request your quote and we will tell you exactly how it works before you approve anything.
Height is built into the per-foot rates by level. Steep pitch, difficult access and large trees are confirmed on site and reflected in your written quote before you approve. We do not add surprise charges on install day.
The Lighting System
6It means the strand is measured against your house and cut to length before it goes up. Your rooflines are measured, the runs are cut to match, the spacing is set so bulbs are evenly distributed, the wire is managed so nothing dangles below the drip edge, and the connections are planned rather than improvised. That is why there is no excess coil of wire looped over a gutter and no dark gap where two retail strands should have met.
Professional-grade, weather-rated LED lighting, custom cut for each property. This is not product you can buy at a hardware or big-box store. It is built to stay lit through a Texas winter — rain, wind and temperature swings — and to hold its colour and brightness for the whole season.
Yes. Warm white, crisp white, red and white, traditional multicolour, and combinations across different parts of the property. We will tell you honestly which one suits your architecture. Warm white generally flatters brick, stone and light-coloured siding; crisp white reads best against dark façades; multicolour suits traditional family homes and looks better when it is paired with white at ground level rather than used everywhere.
Yes. A timer is included and configured as part of the installation, so your display turns on and off when you want it to without you thinking about it. No more driving back from a party because you cannot remember whether you switched them off.
That is the point of the system. Because the set is custom cut for your property and stored by us, it is already fitted to your rooflines when next season arrives. It is labelled and organised during takedown, so reinstallation is quicker and simpler than the first year. You can also add to the design — a new tree, another gable, a walkway — and we will cut the additional runs to match what you already have.
Yes. Designs expand. Adding a tree wrap, a hedge line or a second-storey gable the following year is straightforward because we still hold your original set and know exactly how it was cut. The new runs are matched to the existing product so the two seasons look like one continuous design.
Installation
7No. Once the design is agreed, our crew can complete the installation while you are at work. Many customers come home to find the display already up and running. If you would rather be there, we will schedule around you.
No. Our crews are trained to work on residential roofs without damaging shingles, flashing or gutters, and the clips and attachments we use are chosen for that purpose. We are insured, and we work to current industry safety practice on every property.
With commercial-grade clips and fasteners matched to the surface — shingle, fascia, gutter or masonry — and never with anything that pierces the roof covering. Because the runs are cut to length and the attachment points are planned, there is no weight hanging off a single clip and nothing pulling on a gutter edge.
Yes. Two-storey and steep-pitch rooflines are routine work for us, and a large share of our installations involve gables, dormers and ridges that a homeowner should not be on. Height and access are factored into your quote so there are no surprises on install day.
Whichever the property requires. We use the appropriate access equipment for the height and pitch of your roof and for the trees on your property, and we choose it to protect your landscaping and driveways as well as our crew.
Yes. Tree wrapping is one of our most requested services. We wrap trunks and primary branches rather than trying to cover a whole canopy, because that is what actually reads at night — the canopy disappears into the sky, while a wrapped trunk carries the eye upward and anchors the whole display.
Most single-family homes are completed in a single visit. Larger properties — multi-structure estates, long driveways, extensive tree work — can take longer, and we will tell you the expected duration in your quote so you can plan around it. Commercial and community installations are scheduled to avoid disrupting your operating hours.
Maintenance & Service
10You call us and we come back out. In-season maintenance is free — bulbs, strands, connections and clips are our responsibility for the whole season. You do not climb a ladder, you do not hunt for the dead bulb, and you do not pay for the repair.
Within 24 hours, seven days a week, for the entire season. If something takes your display down — weather, wildlife, a stray football — call (936) 499-8984 and we will be out to restore it. Getting your lights back on before your party is the whole reason the service exists.
Yes. Our lighting is commercial-grade and weather-rated, and if a storm takes part of your display down we will come back and put it right at no charge. Weather is one of the most common reasons we are called out during the season, and it is covered.
Yes. Every installation is backed by a satisfaction guarantee. If you are not happy with the product, the service or the crew, we will make it right — and if we cannot, we will refund you. If something is not right, we fix it. That is the whole policy.
Use the service request form on the maintenance and warranty page, or call (936) 499-8984. Tell us where the problem is and what you are seeing. Service requests are answered within 24 hours, seven days a week.
From the ground, with dry hands, check that the timer is plugged in and set correctly and that the GFCI outlet has not tripped, and note where the dark section begins. Do not climb a ladder or touch damaged cords. Our troubleshooting guide covers the steps.
We do not do electrical work on the house itself, so a faulty outlet or circuit needs an electrician. We do not install permanent year-round lighting. We do not offer landscape lighting outside the holiday season. Our commitment is seasonal maintenance and a satisfaction guarantee.
Yes. Wildlife damage during the season is part of in-season maintenance, and we will repair or replace the affected section. If it keeps happening in one place we will look at adjusting the layout.
Moisture in a connection is the usual cause, especially on damp or foggy nights. Reset the GFCI once with dry hands. If it trips again straight away, stop and call us or an electrician. Do not keep resetting it.
Yes. Installation is insured while we are on your property.
Removal & Storage
6Whenever you want them down. You can have your display removed the day after Christmas, or leave it up well into January. We schedule takedown around your preference, and the removal is already covered by the price you paid in the autumn.
No. Just as with the installation, you do not need to be there. Our crew removes the display, and you come home to a normal house.
We do, at our facility, at no extra charge. Your custom-cut set is taken down carefully, labelled and organised so that next season it goes back up the way it came down. You never store a box of strands, and you never untangle one.
They are kept safe and maintained. Your set stays with us, organised by property and by run, so the following season it arrives already cut and fitted to your rooflines. Because we hold and look after the product, reinstallation is faster than the original install.
No. Removal and off-season storage are included in the all-inclusive price, so there is no January invoice and no storage fee.
Yes. You choose the takedown date. Leaving the display up a few extra weeks is fine, and we suggest switching it off when no one is looking.
Annual Reinstall
4Use the form on the annual reinstall page, or call (936) 499-8984. Choose same design again, or the same design with a change, and tell us your preferred install date.
Yes. A new color, another tree or an extra gable can be quoted at the start of the season, and the new runs are cut to match your existing set. We confirm any change with you in writing before the season.
A custom set is cut for one property, so a move changes the plan. Tell us as early as you can and we will talk through what is practical for the new home.
As early as you can. Dates fill for returning customers as they do for everyone, and the week before Thanksgiving is the most requested.
Design & Colors
6The styles we design and show are warm white, cool white, multicolor, red and white, and red and green, and they can be combined across different parts of the property. Tell us what you have in mind and we will confirm what is available.
Warm white has a golden, candlelight tone that flatters brick, stone and wood. Cool white is crisper and bluer, and suits modern, painted and dark exteriors. The exact shade varies between manufacturers, so look at real examples in the gallery before you decide.
Start with the front roofline, which draws the outline of the house against the sky. Trees, beds and walkways add depth and can be added in steps, this season or in later ones. We will tell you honestly where to stop.
Yes. Wreaths, garland and entry pieces can be quoted along with the rest of the display and lit to match. Pricing for these is by quote rather than a published rate.
Yes, and it often looks best. Larger bulbs suit the long, high lines the street sees, such as eaves and gables, while smaller lights suit close detail and tree trunks.
Yes. Halloween is a real part of what we do, in purple, pink, white and other Halloween colors, using the same custom-cut commercial-grade lighting. Halloween is quoted for your property because no Halloween rate card is published. See the Halloween lighting page for our own photos.
Estimator & AI Preview
7It gives a range, not a quote. The range is built from your measurements and choices using our published rates, and it is tighter when you confirm the lines on the aerial view. Final pricing is confirmed after our team verifies the property on site, including roof pitch, access and tree sizes.
No. You can use the guided manual mode, which asks about your house in plain terms and lists every assumption it makes. An address lets the tool show an aerial view so you can confirm the lines yourself.
The See Your Home in Lights tool takes a photograph of your house and shows it with holiday lighting added in the style you choose. It is an illustration, not a guarantee of final appearance. It is optional, and the rest of the site works without it.
Yes. The estimator can produce a PDF of your design and price range that you can keep or share. The PDF is generated for you at the moment you ask for it and is not kept by us.
No. An estimate is a range based on what you provided. Your written quote is the price, and it is confirmed after we verify the property.
Above a certain size the estimator still shows a range but notes that a person should review the design before the number is relied on. Estates, gates, long drives, detached structures and large trees are reviewed with a designer before final pricing.
No. You can build and download an estimate without booking. If you choose to save it, you tick a box that says so in plain words, and our team follows up. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Privacy & Data
4It is resized in your browser, sent once over an encrypted connection to our server, passed to Google's Gemini image model to add the lighting you selected, and returned to you. We do not store the photograph, write it to our logs, use it to train anything or sell it. Our privacy policy explains this in full.
Only if you tick the box that asks you to, we keep your name, phone number, email, address, the measured lines, the look you chose and the price range, so we can follow up. We do not store your house photograph or the AI preview.
The private link carries measurements, the look you chose, your first name and your city, signed so it cannot be altered. It does not contain your street address, phone number, email or photographs. Anyone you give the link to can see those measurements, so share it only with people you trust.
Call (936) 499-8984 and we will action it. We may need to keep limited records where the law or our accounting obligations require it.
Commercial, HOA & Municipal
9Yes. We install commercial Christmas lighting for shopping centres, independent shops, restaurants, office buildings, car dealerships, hotels and public buildings. Commercial installations are scheduled around your operating hours and can be completed without interrupting trading.
Yes. Multi-building commercial work is quoted as one programme rather than as separate jobs, with a single schedule and a single point of contact. We plan the install sequence around your tenants and your customers, and we document what was installed where.
Yes. We light community entrances, monument signage, gatehouses, clubhouses, boulevards and tree-lined approaches. Because a community entrance has to read clearly from a moving car, we light signage, masonry and planting beds as separate planes so the lettering stays legible and the stone keeps its texture.
Yes. Community and commercial displays are the easiest to run as an annual programme, because your custom-cut set is stored with us and returns already fitted to the same structures. Each season we reinstall from the previous year's plan, with any additions you have approved.
We install holiday lighting on civic and public properties including municipal buildings, downtown districts, parks and public trees. Every municipal project is scoped and scheduled directly with the responsible department, with documentation and access planning agreed in advance.
Yes. Churches, private schools and community facilities are regular projects for us — rooflines, entries, trees and grounds, installed around service times and school hours.
That depends on your governing documents. Many communities allow seasonal lighting within limits on timing, color and brightness. Check your covenants or ask your management company before you book, and tell us what you find so we can design to it.
Yes. We can provide a simple description of the proposed design, such as the lines to be lit and the colors, to include with your request.
Yes. We light entrances, monuments, gatehouses and clubhouses, and can schedule the install so that everything is tested before the event. These properties are scoped on site.
Booking & Timing
7Earlier than you think. Autumn is when our schedule fills, and the customers who book first get the install dates they want — particularly the week of Thanksgiving, which is the most requested. If you want your display up before Thanksgiving, book in September or October.
Yes. If you would rather have your display installed in early November and not turn it on until after Thanksgiving, we will set it up and leave the timer off. Many of our customers do exactly this, and it takes the pressure off the busiest weeks of December.
Yes. Tell us your preferred dates when you request your quote and we will build the schedule around them. We confirm install and takedown dates with you in advance rather than turning up unannounced.
Holiday Lights Texas is based in Conroe and serves Montgomery County, north and west Harris County and the surrounding Greater Houston communities, including The Woodlands, Spring, Magnolia, Montgomery, Tomball, Cypress, Humble, Kingwood, Katy and beyond. Our service areas page lists every city we cover with the details for each.
Rain or high wind can move an install back a day or two. We confirm any change with you in advance, and booking a date a few days before you need the lights on leaves room for it.
Call (936) 499-8984, tell us your address and date, and we will tell you honestly whether it is possible. We will not promise a date we cannot keep.
Our core area is Montgomery County, north and west Harris County and the surrounding Greater Houston communities, and our service areas pages list each city and community. If yours is not listed, call and ask.
